As a Shunt Planner, you are the key player in our logistics network! You will directly manage both internal and external shunt drivers, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Your role & responsibilities
- Container management: Handling the inbound and outbound flow of containers in our 24/7 warehouse.
- Loading and unloading: Efficiently managing ECS containers in Zeebrugge.
- Shunt planning: Coordinating shunts in and around Zeebrugge.
- Dock management: Smartly scheduling loading and unloading docks for optimal flow.
- Chassis utilization: Carefully deploying chassis for maximum efficiency.
You will consider:
- Availability of equipment (containers, reefers, fridges, chassis, etc.)
- Closing of ferry terminals and departures.
- Loading and unloading times for customers.
Hour schedule: You will work in a rotating schedule:
- Early shift: 5:30 AM – 1:36 PM
- Late shift: 12:00 PM – 8:06 PM
- Day shift: 8:00 AM – 4:36 PM
Location
- Karveelstraat 5, Zeebrugge
Your profile and qualities
- Higher secondary education.
- Fluent in Dutch and proficient in English.
- Experience in transport? That’s a plus!
