Your role as a functional analyst at ECS:
- Thoroughly analyzing our business needs and processes together with relevant (business) colleagues.
- Acting as the link between business and IT to capture concrete business needs.
- After a thorough analysis of the current situation (As-Is), proposing possible solutions for the desired situation (To-Be). You are able to turn a complex problem into manageable sub-questions with their solutions, which you describe and estimate together with your technical colleagues.
- Working on diverse projects where you translate complex business questions into innovative IT solutions. Additionally, you try to identify and signal bottlenecks.
- You work in a structured and organized manner and are a point of contact for your colleagues when they have questions about your analyses.
- By nature, you are eager to learn and ready to tackle challenges with a constructive and step-by-step approach.
- You are an energetic and flexible go-getter who can work both independently and in a team, and you are not afraid of tight deadlines.

We are looking for someone who recognizes themselves in the following profile:
- Higher degree in computer science or equivalent through experience
- Good command of Dutch and English, both written and spoken
- Smooth communicator
- Born documenter with a pragmatic approach
- Experience with business analysis and functional analysis, including drafting use cases with acceptance criteria and test plans
- Experience with BPMN and analyzing business processes
- Experience with Event Driven Architecture and event storming is a plus
- Knowledge of Domain Driven Design is a plus
- Affinity with logistics, transport, and supply chain processes is a plus
- Experience with system integrations and impact analyses
- No fear of legacy environments with limited documentation
- Able to read and interpret technical documentation
- Knowledge of standard IT formats and definition protocols (ERD, XML, XSD, CSV, JSON, ...)
